Since 1976, when the dream of a Christian academy was born in the minds of the men and women of The Church of the Open Bible, hundreds have contributed to the ministry of OBA. Supporting the academy comes in many forms. It is humbling to see mothers give their entire days to volunteer or fathers leave work early and pass up promotions in order to coach a sports team. Recent graduates return to teach P. E. or music, and retirees return to work as a full time teachers. Others, without the time, give privately and sacrifically in order to keep the school in operation and keep the tuition low. A ministry like the Open Bible Academy would not function without the support of so many committed to the cause. The most important and most abundant of contributions have been the prayer of the hundreds burdened for the ministry. Since its founding, OBA has been run and supported by the prayers of the faithful. We hope and pray that each of you will be burdened to support this ministry through prayer and any other means you are capable of.

Pray

Pray for the staff that they would be examples of Christlikeness. Pray that they would walk in the power of the Spirit and be gracious when dealing with the difficulties of the day.

Pray for each student that they would come to a knowledge of Christ! Pray that they would learn each day and that God would continue to provide this opportunity for Biblical education!

Volunteer

Many of the Academy's functions are made possible by the commitment of volunteers. As a ministry of The Church of the Open Bible, all volunteers are approved by church leadership. We welcome volunteers for any part of OBA. Please speak with Heath Marvin if you have an idea!
