School Verse

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

11th-12th Summer Reading

Summer Reading 2011

For students entering Grades 11-12

Dear Parents and Students,

Enclosed please find worksheets for this summer’s reading requirements.

Your summer reading assignment this summer includes one secular classic book and one Christian biography. The classic book should be available at any town library or book store. The Christian book may also be found at a book store, or even cheaper on amazon.com (just be aware of the time it will take to ship the book).

Classic: The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin (by Benjamin Franklin)

Christian: E. M. Bounds (by Darrel D. King)

(If a student has already read one of the assigned books, please contact me via email to find a different book.)

These books and worksheets should be completed and turned in during the first week of school in September. Please plan to finish reading quickly rather than waiting until the end of the summer. Also, please sign the pledge statement at the bottom of each worksheet when you have finished your reading.

As always, please understand that the selection of these books does not mean that OBA agrees with every philosophy presented. Readers should always beware of unbiblical teaching.

Happy Reading!
