School Verse

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Geography Fair

Dear Parents,

Your 9th & 10th grade students are beginning a Geography Fair Project.  This project will take the place of a Science Fair project this year.  Whereas Science Fair requires some type of experiment and minimal research, this Geography project will require a full research paper along with a display board and an oral presentation.

I have broken the project down into several small steps that students are already working to complete.  Each week a new portion of the project will be due as you will see on the attached calendar.  We have one period each Tuesday set aside for teaching and working on the project; so most of the students’ work will be completed in school (especially in the beginning steps).

Each step in the process will contribute toward the overall project grade.  Keeping up with the schedule is vital for everyone; late work will lower a student’s grade.  Because this is such an extensive project, the grade will count as a test in both Geography and Grammar.  Therefore, both Miss Hemingway and Mr. Bedsaul will be assisting students throughout the project.

As always, please communicate with us about any concerns or problems that arise.  This project is intended to be a learning experience for our students, but we do not want it to be frustrating or confusing.  You can check there for future postings of other handouts that I give to the students.

Thank you for your continued support, and thank you ahead of time for the work that this project will require on your part.

Sincerely,

Miss Hemingway

These are the projected dates for the Geography Fair Project. Each listed assignment is due on the date in which it is named.
