Believing that the quality of a Christian school is linked to the quality of its people, all teachers employed at OBA will have attained high spiritual and scholastic standards in their own lives necessary to carry out the purpose, objectives and goals of our school. They will be born-again, spirit-filled Christians whose lives evidence a vital relationship with Christ and testify of the grace of God (I Timothy 4:12). Furthermore, following the pattern of Christ in Matthew 20:25-28, it is important that all teachers have a servant’s heart, as shown by their willingness to give themselves to minister to others. OBA seeks to employ teachers who are academically qualified in their field, having completed, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or having experiential equivalence and are working toward a degree in education. Financial assistance is offered to teachers interested in pursuing advanced degrees. OBA does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, or national origin.
